Facebook is testing new labels for sponsored brand posts

8. 8. 2018

Facebook has begun to improve the transparency of its platform for paid partnerships and branded by testing a new feature that adds information labels to paid partnership content.

Facebook introduced icons that indicate a sponsored post in 2016 and is constantly working to improve them. One of them is the introduction of a new brand Collabs management tool that helps companies and brands find new partnerships.

New labels are very similar to labels for political contributions.

The new tool is a small but useful update. After you post a post image, you’ll see a clickable branding icon to get more information about the nature of the partnership and the brand.

Information labels are still in the testing phase and will be available to the public soon.
