Instagram tests the options to limiting Stories’ visibility based on region

5. 9. 2018

Instagram wants to give users more control over who sees their content. The new tool should allow you to set the visibility of Instagram Stories by country. This means that you can control the reach of Stories according to your needs and strategies.

The new tool will be available in the Stories setting where you can enable or disable the feature. To use it, you can select the specific countries you want your Instagram Stories content to be visible in.

It should be possible to create different Stories that are specific to specific regions. One practical use, for example, would be with various events and holidays, since holidays may vary by date in different countries or products that are targeted to a particular country.

If introduced, it will be especially useful for international brands that are targeting markets in multiple countries.
