Instagram launches three new tools for businesses to increase sales

Instagram has introduced another set of useful tools to help businesses increase sales. Users can now search for products through business profiles or videos and save them in shopping collections.

For companies, these tools represent a substantially larger display case in an online environment. The products they show are more visible and more accessible.

Shopping collections

Instagram users can use the new shopping collection feature to save products they are interested in for later viewing. Upon clicking on the product tag in Instagram Stories or the post in their feed, the save icon appears in the bottom right corner of the image. You can easily access this collection from your personal profile.

Purchase via video

Instagram has also added a shopping icon, located at the bottom left corner of the video, which will show you the products you see in the video, including the prices. This functionality has long been common in image postings.

Shopping section in business profiles

If you use a business profile on Instagram, you’ll discover a new shopping section where users can view the products you offer. The section includes “feeds” with product photos. After clicking, users will see product information and posts related to it.
