For several weeks now, you can see the new Facebook Stories layout. This is another Facebook test to increase interest and use of Stories. Recently, Facebook has been experimenting with new tools very often, trying to increase the popularity of Stories.
When you open Facebook, you’ll see a large panel of six selected Stories from your friends and the brands that you’re following at the top of the News Feed. Several pages are inserted in the Stories panel, and you can browse through other stories by swiping to the right.
Facebook sees great potential in Stories and has put a wildcard on them. The statistics speak for themselves. Facebook and Messenger Stories reached 300 million active users per day, which is only 10% of the total number of Facebook users.

The layout change aims to make Stories more visible and motivate users to explore the Stories and start using them themselves.
Other statistics show that users of older age groups need more time to get used to new tools. Compared to Instagram, which has a younger audience, Facebook’s adoption rate of new tools is slower.
The new Facebook Story layout is only available to beta testers at the moment.
