Facebook and Instagram platforms would like to get closer to young users, with whom Facebook has just started to lose popularity. But social networks are aware of the potential of adolescents and wants to bring them more fun.
Whale
The first news Facebook is currently testing in Canada is the creation of so-called memes. Whale allows users to create images that they can edit using simplified templates and tools. You can add text, special effects, emojis and various filters to your memes.
The resulting image can be saved and shared on various social networks. The application was developed by a company that is part of an experimental division of Facebook.
Reels
The second innovation concerns Instagram, which is preparing a tool similar to the application Tik Tok. It will be called Reels and will allow users to create short videos and edit them with special effects. They will have a Facebook music library and many functions for playing, adjusting video speed or transitioning between scenes.
Instagram said that the new tool will be available in the Stories camera. Brazilian users will be the first to use this new creation. Eventually, Instagram will introduce the new feature to other countries.
