Facebook’s Ads Guide gets a revamp

19. 10. 2017

Every advertisers’ go-to guide for everything ad format and placement related, gets an update.

Facebook Ads guide, an encyclopedia that contains information on design recommendations and technical requirements on the multiple types of ad types Facebook offers across a variety of placements such as Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network and Messenger.

There are five “tabs” available, as many as the ad formats that Facebook offers advertisers with, Video, Image, Carousel, Canvas, and Collection. Each tab features dynamically-displayed creative specs and tech requirements based on the option you choose under the placement drop-down menu. This type of displaying information can quickly help you identify which ad format(s) matches with which ad placement, as well as the objectives it is available for and the call to action button that it can be associated with.

Advertisers can “Create Advert” from within the ad guide interface via the respective button or create a mock up that you can share with your team. In the case that you were unsure how the final ad format would looked like, there’s a preview available that helps you with exactly that.

This new guide is mobile friendly and enables you to learn on-the-go. You can access the all new Facebook Ads Guide here.

It is expected that the new format will be available to all users by the end of November.
