Instagram has announced that it is working on a new branded content ads offering that will allow brands to target influencers’ audiences. Instagram wants to give advertisers the opportunity to maximize the value of influencer marketing.
Facebook is focused on developing co-branding and influencing on the grounds that 69% of users come to the platform to communicate with celebrities, bloggers, influencers and brands. In addition, 80% of users follow business profiles.
Brands can already utilize influencers’ posts, but they have to meticulously share them on their own profile as a post, and then apply advertising to them. This new feature will simplify this entire process. Brands will be able to sponsor posts created by influencers.
Instagram has been developing this feature since last year, and the companies that participated in testing have seen very positive results. The new ad type should be an enhanced feature of the Paid Partnership tagging system.
The new ad format is still in the testing phase and Instagram has confirmed its implementation for the year 2019.
